Banksy

Banksy is an English graffiti artist, painter and film director. He is known for 

his thought-provoking street art. His real name and the date of his birth are still 

unknown. I personally think it's really cool that nobody knows who he is. The message 

of his paintings is often anti-war. He never sells his paintings although other people 

tried to. He appeared in lots of big cities and painted something special. In my view his 

creations are great because they make people think about important things. I'm 

convinced that he does this with passion and he does everything for his "hobby". He

 even climbed into the penguins' enclosure just to make his idea happen. He also 

creates films. His first film was The exit through the giftshop, which shows some of 

his paintings. The film was nominated for an Oscar (best documentary). Although the 

film didn't win, it became really popular. I am looking forward to watch it!
